Five for Friday, May 20th, 2016

I am teaming up again with Doodle Bugs Teaching for her famous Five for Friday Linky Party! Here are five fun facts about my week!

Last Saturday was National Childhood Apraxia Day and I decided to take the biggest leap in my blogging career and write about what it is and how it has impacted my daughter.

Apraxia is a neurological speech delay which makes forming words and sounds extremely difficult. You need to retrain, or train, the brain how to make simple sounds and words as there is a disconnect somewhere between the brain and the mouth. I love my new Silhouette Cameo and I have been using it ALL the time! This week I have made some shirts for my daughter and some friends!

I created this fun shirt for a friend whose daughter loves princess!

Today we had to take my 2 year old daughter to get her blood drawn! As the super prepared person that I am, I packed a bag full of her favorite things; link bubbles, M&M's, and anything else I could find that would make her happy. Once we got there I realized there would be no way for me to distract her as I would be holding her! :(  Luckily someone blow some bubbles towards her which distracted her enough where she did not look at the needle or focus on that too much! Our Doctor did give us some numbing cream, which we put on beforehand, and I think that really helped!

As a reward we got a donut and we went to Sky Zone!  She "Bounced" back really quick!

I am so excited I got my first box from the Candy Club! The name sounds great in and of itself but the candy was AMAZING!

Each month, or a onetime offer, you get three different types of candy as well as a nice treat sprinkled on top. This is a great gift to give people that might have just about everything, send to college students, or a favorite teacher who loves candy, as well as a great treat for yourself! The first thing you do is take a quick candy quiz (4 questions about your taste) and then they match you with what box they think fits you the best. You are able to choose a different one if you disagree. The three types of boxes are a sweet and sour mix, sweet and just sour box. My suggestion is if you are giving this as a gift and are not sure of their taste go with the mix box!

You can try Candy Club right now for 50% off AND free shipping which means you get all this candy (which was amazing!) for $15.00.  Just click here to get this special offer.

Give it a try! You won't regret it!

I am SO excited that the weather is starting to get nice and warm and so is my daughter! We live outside when it's nice! Going to the park, playing with bubbles in the driveway and taking endless walks!
