How to Plan a Pink and Gold Minnie Mouse Birthday Party

My daughter turned 3, where did the time go, and we celebrated her birthday this past weekend! One of her favorite things is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and since I threw her a Mickey party for her first birthday we went with a Minnie Mouse pink and gold theme.

So I did what every mom does, I hopped on Pinterest!

WARNING: If you do NOT have a Silhouette Cameo, you will want one after reading this post! Almost all of items were made using my Silhouette Cameo and at a fraction of the cost!!

I  started with the shirt to set the tone for the party! She wanted NOTHING to do with me taking her picture! I made the shirt, with my Cameo of course, and got the skirt on sale from Gap Kids! I get all of my Silhouette supplies from Expression Vinyl: who is having a Christmas in July sale, as well as free shipping till the end of the month!!  Check them out here!
When I saw this sign on Pinterest I knew I had to make it! My little one sure does Sparkle! Again used my Silhouette :)

I ordered these amazing invitations on Etsy from Pristine Print Co.  She was a joy to work with: fun, easy and a great price!

Pristine Print Co also made these adorable thank you cards to match my invitations! I ordered the thank you cards through Shutterfly as they were doing free cards one weekend! If you don't know about Shutterfly, check it out they give away free items almost weekly!

I added gold glitter card stock around the invitations because you can never have too much glitter, right!?!

I love making party favors!

I got these adorable bags from the dollar section of Michael's Craft store.  I used my Silhouette to cut out the Minnie and Mickey heads with the child's initial in the middle!
Inside each bag was a Minnie Mouse activity pack, Minnie Mouse Numbers 1-10 (2 sets, so the kids and parents could play numerous games with the one pieces, Minnie figure for the girls and a Mickey figure for the boys.
I created a cute sign for the favor basket. I also attached directions in the shape of a Mickey Mouse!

Desserts are one of my favorite parts of a party!
We had cupcakes
Minnie Mouse Cookies!
My mom made the amazing cookies and I used my Silhouette Cameo (you need one!) to cut sugar sheet bows!
I also used my Silhouette Cameo to make the cake topper and the circles that are around the cake!

We had a wonderful party! My husband made pulled pork and it was delicious, people are still raving about it!!
But the best thing about the day was the pure joy on my daughters face!

If you now want a Silhouette Cameo: here is a great deal!
